My name is Ben Tristano. I’m a graduate from SUNY Oneonta where I studied business, marketing, and sports management. After I graduated, I immediately began to pursue my National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) personal training certification. Once certified, I launched BTU Fitness, a personal training and nutrition coaching business, supporting clients in reaching their health goals in both individual and group settings. I am also currently a certified Precision Nutrition Level 1 Health & Nutrition Coach.
After years of struggling with obesity and self-image, I resolved at the age of thirteen that I needed to make a change. I taught myself to make strides towards wellness at my own pace, and through hard work, consistency, trial, and error, I was able to reach my health and fitness goals. I learned that wellness is not a “destination”, and for this reason, I continue to challenge myself every day. Today, I’m proud to introduce myself as someone who is excited and driven to support others in setting and progressing towards their own personal health and wellness goals.
My experience on both sides of the weight and fitness spectrum grants me a unique perspective when approaching my current duties as a health and fitness coach. I’ve built a wealth of knowledge and personal experience around the nutrition, fitness, and self-care required to safely and sustainably lose weight and improve overall health and wellness.
The most fulfilling part of this work is guiding my clients to achieve milestones that they had previously never imagined were reachable, while making a long term and sustainable lifestyle change.
